The rainy spell experienced recently appears to be on the wane but light rain and snowfall are still likely in parts of five districts on Tuesday. The State meteorological centre has forecast that very light to light rain/thunderstorm/snowfall are likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts today. Dry weather is likely to prevail in remaining districts of the State today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear skies with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 29 degrees Celsius and 13 degrees Celsius respectively on Tuesday.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Monday were 28.8 degrees Celsius and 12.6 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 29.5 degrees Celsius and 11.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 15.7 degrees Celsius and 5.7 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 18.7 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
