Intermittent spells of rain on Wednesday night brought some relief in Dehradun from the rising temperature. However, the city did not experience much rain on Thursday. Meanwhile, the State meteorological centre has forecast that light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms are likely to occur at a few places in the mountains and at isolated places in the plains of the State on Friday. The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness partly cloudy skies with light to moderate rain/thundershowers likely to occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 34 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Friday.
Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Thursday were 31.5 degrees Celsius and 22.1 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 34 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 22.4 degrees Celsius and 14.4 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 24.2 degrees Celsius and 16.4 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
