A live operative workshop and conference ‘LAPCON-2022’ under the joint aegis of department of surgery of Shri Mahant Indiresh hospital and Uttar Pradesh Association of Surgeons of India (UPASI) here on Saturday. In the workshop eminent laparoscopic surgeons demonstrated the operations of hernia and gallbladder related and modern laparoscopic surgery via live operation demonstration from the Operation Theatres (OT) of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital. More than 200 surgeons who came from different states learnt the modern laparoscopic techniques minutely. The president of the UPASI, Dr JP Sharma welcomed all the guests and participants and threw light over the significance and objective of this programme.
The vice chancellor of SGRR university US Rawat congratulated the UPASI and Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital over the organizing of this knowledge imparting event.
In the live operative workshop the former director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi Dr MC Mishra and famous laparoscopic and bariatric surgeon Dr Shivanshu Mishra, Dr Prashant Bhowate, and Dr Asuri Krishnan gave live demonstration of surgeries from the OTs of the hospital.
The organising secretary workshop and head of surgery department Dr Anurag Bijlwan in his address to the gathering said that the valuable knowledge and exposure imparted in the workshop will be beneficial to the patients directly as these modern techniques will be used by surgeons in the treatment and operations of patients.
