In latest Uttarakhand news, the dairy farmers in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand are now a worried lot as the Lumpy virus keeps affecting the cattle in increasing number in Chamoli development block. The block Congress committee served a memorandum to the chief veterinary officer, demanding prompt initiatives to stop the spread of the virus among the bovines. Speaking of this matter, the block Congress president Govind Singh Sajwan said that the dairy farmers are very tense as a number of bovines have already died due to this vector-borne infection. He asked the chief veterinary officer to organise camps in the villages.
