To mark the 118th birth anniversary of poetess Mahadevi Verma, Mahadevi Verma Memorial Lecture and Poetry Reading will be organised at Mahadevi Verma Srujan Peeth (Ramgarh) of Kumaun University on March 26. A veteran writer of science fiction, Devendra Mewari, who had received a number of awards in recognition of his contribution to Hindi literature, will deliver this year’s 11th Mahadevi Verma Memorial Lecture on the subject of ‘Literature and Science’. The Kumaun University’s vice- chancellor Prof Diwan Singh Rawat will preside over the programme.
Informing this, the director of Mahadevi Verma Srujan Peeth, Prof Shirish Kumar Maurya said that poetry recitation of young and senior poets is also being organised on the occasion.
