The State Tourism minister Satpal Maharaj participated in the three-day World Tourism Market (WTM) that commenced in London on Thursday.
He said that India as well as
Uttarakhand was making their presence felt in this international tourism congregation. He also inaugurated the Incredible India stall set up at Bharat Mandapam in the presence of India’s high commissioner to London Vikram Kumar Doraiswami. These stalls, showcasing the culture and tourism of many States of the country, including Uttarakhand, were drawing a large number of people, he said, adding that the United Kingdom is the second largest source market for inbound tourists to India.
