The Akhil Bharatiya Kashyap Nishad Bind Ekta Samata Mahasabha national head Santosh Kashyap said that Maharshi Kashyap Jayanti will be celebrated with fervour in the state on April 5. She said this in a meeting of the Kashyap community on Sunday. She said that the community will organise processions, public feasts, meetings and establishment of Maharshi Kashyap’s statue at various locations in Dehradun, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar. A crossroad near Patelnagar in Dehradun has been allocated in the name of Maharshi Kashyap but the installation of the statue and beautification of the intersection is pending. Kashyap said that she requested the Dehradun mayor to do the needful and had received the assurance that the pending works will be undertaken soon.
The community’s Yuva Morcha national president Rajnish Kashyap averred that youth of the community have become aware and will celebrate the occasion enthusiastically. He requested youth of the community in the state to participate in programmes on the occasion.
