The State’s Tourism and Culture minister Satpal Maharaj said that on the lines of Badrinath and Kedarnath, master plans will be prepared for the Mahasu Devta temple at Hanol in Dehradun district and Jageshwar temple in Almora district. In a statement issued to the media on Sunday, the minister said that master plans will be prepared for the Jageshwar and Mahasu Devta temples in order to facilitate the planned development of these pilgrimage centres as done in the case of Badrinath and Kedarnath.
He said that since services of INI have been taken in architectural aspects in Kedarnath, it is proposed that permission be granted to INI to maintain some uniformity as the Mahasu Devta and Jageshwar temples are slated to be developed on the lines of Kedarnath. As soon as the permission is granted, the master plans will be prepared and these two shrines will also be developed on the lines of Badrinath and Kedarnath, said the minister.
