In latest news from Doon, Pranav Negi (36), resident of Doiwala and deployed as major in Kargil of Jammu and Kashmir, died in a hospital where he was being treated. Members of the bereaved family said that his mortal remains are on its way to his house in Doiwala. They further said that they had spoken to him over phone in the evening and the news of his death came late in the night. Army sources told them that he was suddenly taken ill while on duty and rushed to a hospital where he died.
Though he was residing with his family in Doiwala he originally hailed from Kirtinagar in Tehri district.
