In a meeting organised recently to discuss issues related to Naini Saini airport, the district magistrate and airport director Ashish Chauhan directed officials concerned to ensure necessary arrangements for regular flights. Chauhan directed the Pithoragarh sub divisional magistrate to expedite the pending cases of land and building acquisition related to the airport. He said that the necessary facilities provided for operation from Naini Saini airstrip should be completed without delay.
The DM further said that meetings would be held from time to time in this regard and the arrangements which are required to facilitate regular operation of flights from the airport should be ensured without further delay. Necessary guidelines were given to the officials concerned while discussing the points of communication facility, electrical system, security and other aspects of the airport. The joint magistrate Nandan Kumar, police circle officer Rajan Singh Rautela, Power executive engineer Nitin Garkhal along with officers of the airport authority, telecommunications, fire service and other departments concerned were also present in the meeting.
