A man and two children died in the Laksar area of the Haridwar district after a tractor trolley carrying illegal mining material allegedly ran over them on Tuesday morning. The man identified as Krishnapal was going to drop his five-year-old daughter and his neighbour’s son at school on his two-wheeler near Bhogpur in Laksar when the trolley allegedly ran over them. Krishnapal and his daughter died on the spot and the boy sustained serious injuries. He was sent to a higher centre for treatment but he died during the treatment, said the police station house officer of Laksar, Amarjeet Singh. He told The Pioneer that the man driving the tractor trolley escaped from the spot and the police seized the vehicle. On the question of action taken by police on the matter, he said that no case was registered in the police station till Tuesday evening and further investigation will be done after registration of a formal complaint.
