In latest news from Uttarakhand, a 38-year-old man Amit Kashyap was hacked to death by miscreants near Katha factory on Rampur Road under TB Nagar police station limits in Haldwani. As per reports received, though Amit had been living with his parents and family in Haldwani they originally hail from Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh. Sharing details of the murder, SP Haldwani Harbans Singh said that when Amit was sitting in his father’s food cart in the evening miscreants attacked him with sharp weapon and then fled. The people from the neighbourhood rushed in and sent the profusely bleeding Amit to Sushila Tiwari Government Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Later, a police team led by the SP City Harbans Singh went to the hospital and talked to the deceased’s relatives. He said that police have started investigation into the death with forensic experts being involved in the probe and added that those responsible for the murder would be nabbed soon.
