A youth died due to severe head injury when the two-wheeler he was riding skidded near Bhuit village on the Rishikesh-Badrinath national highway. The young man was working in the railway construction company Navyuga. On Sunday afternoon, three kilometers ahead of Devprayag, a youth riding a scooty died on the spot after losing balance of the two-wheeler.
Sub inspector Vijay Thapliyal informed that 32-year-old Ramesh Kumar hailing from Bihar was coming to Devprayag by scooty on Sunday. Here the man suffered a serious head injury after the two-wheeler skidded near the licensed liquor shop near Bhuit village, killing him on the spot. On receiving information about the mishap, the Devprayag Tehsildar Manvendra Vartwal along with police reached the spot. Police have sent the body to Srinagar for post mortem.
