Mandaviya launches 2 new health schemes for AIIMS Rishikesh

The Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Mansukh L Mandaviya inaugurated schemes related to the School of Public Health and Trauma ICU of AIIMS Rishikesh virtually on Saturday. Addressing the programme, he said that providing better health facilities to the common people is the priority of the Central government.
Calling the inauguration of the School of Public Health and New Trauma ICU at the premier health facility of Uttarakhand in Rishikesh as great steps forward in the public health sector, he said that they had been working tirelessly to provide quality health service to one and all across the country.
The executive director of AIIMS Rishikesh Dr Meenu Singh in her address thanked the Union health minister for adding important services to the facility. Notably, Mandaviya launched and laid the foundation stone of a string of health related schemes and facilities virtually at seven AIIMs spread across the country while attending the convocation ceremony of AIIMS, Jodhpur in Rajasthan.
The AIIMS Rishikesh officials informed that while the School of Public Health
offers two-year master of Public Health course that involves large-scale prevention of community health diseases and preparation for their prevention, the new Trauma Centre ICU has been developed to treat critically injured accident patients, polytrauma patients, gunshot injuries, knife injuries, spinal cord injuries and head injuries among others.
