Sepoy Mandeep Singh Negi of Saknali village of Pokhra block in Pauri Garhwal district attained martyrdom in Gulmarg district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. He was part of the 11th Garhwal Rifles (GR) posted in the area. The mortal remains of 23 year old Negi would reach his ancestral village on Saturday where he would be cremated with full state honours.
The Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat has expressed his grief at the martyrdom of Negi. Former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat and other leaders also paid tribute to the martyr.
