Manglaur bypoll: Cong candidate Qazi Nizamuddin to file nomination papers today

Congress candidate Qazi Nizamuddin will file his nomination papers from Manglaur assembly constituency on Thursday. Nizamuddin was slated to file his papers on Wednesday and the party had made necessary preparations for it but due to procedural delays he could not file papers.  

All the senior leaders of Uttarakhand Congress including Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara, Leader of Opposition  (LoP) in State assembly Yashpal Arya, State co-in charge Deepika Pandey Singh, Saharanpur MP Imran Masood, former chief minister Harish Rawat, former PCC presidents Pritam Singh and Ganesh Godiyal, deputy leader of Congress legislature party  Bhuvan Kapdi and Prakash Joshi were present in Manglaur on Wednesday.

 MLAs Mamta Rakesh, Adesh Chauhan, Furkan Ahmed, Ravi Bahadur, Anupama Rawat, Virendra Jati and Congress party’s Lok Sabha candidate from Haridwar Virendra Singh Rawat and a large number of party workers were present in the nomination rally of Nizamuddin. 

Addressing the party leaders and workers, the PCC president Karan Mahara said that after the Lok Sabha elections, Manglaur and Badrinath assembly by-elections are a challenge for the workers of the Congress party. He appealed to all the senior leaders of Congress, office bearers and workers to extend their full support to party candidates in the two by elections.

 Mahara expressed confidence that the Congress party would register landslide victories in both Manglaur and Badrinath.

The LoP Yashpal Arya said that the people of the country and the state are fed up with the anti-people policies of the BJP.

The State co-in charge Deepika Singh called upon all the workers of the Congress party to unite and ensure the victory of the Congress candidates. She said that victory procession of

Congress party has begun under the leadership of Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi and it will continue.

Singh said that Congress candidate Qazi Nizamuddin is slated to win Manglaur assembly by election with a huge margin. 

The vice president (organisation) of State Congress Mathura Dutt Joshi said that PCC president Karan Mahara and State co-in charge  Deepika Pandey Singh will also accompany the Congress candidate from Badrinath, Lakhpat Butola during filing of his nomination papers on June 21.
