In latest news from Dehradun, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA from Manglour constituency Sarwat Kareem Ansari passed away in a hospital in Delhi in the morning. He was 66 and had been suffering from heart ailment for some years. A number of leaders, including the State chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, condoled the MLA’s death. It is learnt that the CM spoke to the deceased MLA’s son over phone and conveyed his condolence. Senior Congress leader and former State minister Dhirendra Pratap also expressed sorrow over the BSP MLA’s death and called him a large-hearted, popular leader.
