Manipur incident- Congress burns effigies of PM, HM

The workers of the Uttarakhand Congress held a protest and burned the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home minister Amit Shah over the Manipur incident in Dehradun on Friday. The workers of Mahanagar Congress and Mahila Congress assembled at the State office of the party and went to the Astley hall where they consigned the effigies of PM and Home minister to the flames. Speaking on the occasion, the president of Mahanagar Congress Jaswinder Gogi said that BJP is in power both at Centre and Manipur but both these governments have failed to control violence in Manipur. The shameful incident of stripping of women and their gangrape has made everyone agitated. The president of the Mahanagar Mahila Congress Urmilla Thapa said that PM Modi has time to visit foreign countries and address rallies in election bound States but he has no time to go to Manipur. Congress leaders Garima Dasauni, Asha Manorama Sharma, Poonam Singh, Manish Nagpal, Chandrakala Negi and others attended the protest.
