In latest Uttarakhand news, as part of 77th Independence Day celebration, a cycle rally, organised with the collaboration of the State tourism department, was flagged off in Pauri. The rally started from Kandoliya Theme Park and would end at Adwani Marg in the town. Twenty competitors took part in the rally, the organisers claimed. The local MLA who was present as the special guest said that such cycle rallies should be organised from time to time. He said such rallies not just strengthened unity and integrity of the country but also helped the rallyists to stay fit physically. These competitions would also boost sports, the MLA said, adding that every citizen living in the district should hoist the tri-colour at their homes and pay due reverence to the ideals the tri-colour stands for. Among those present on the occasion were the Pauri district tourism development officer Prakash Khatri and the district sports officer Anoop Bisht.
