In latest Uttarakhand news, as part of anti-encroachment drive launched in Doiwala bazar, Kanhar Wala, Bhani Wala, Jolly Grant bazar and other areas, a joint team of tehsil administration, police and municipal council Doilwala removed carts and make-shift shops installed on the footpaths of Dehradun-Rishikesh road and imposed fines on the encroachers. Verification drive was also launched as part of the operation.
Notably, before launching the operation, the Doiwala municipal council appealed to the encroachers to vacate the lands on their own. But as they refused to heed to the appeal, the joint team was constituted to launch the anti-encroachment operation.
