In latest news from Dehradun, the State women empowerment and child development minister Rekha Arya wrote to the department’s secretary to immediately transfer amounts to the beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana (MVY) withheld for three months-March, April and May-due to the enforcement of the model code of conduct. The numbers of beneficiaries for the three months are 5917, 5864 and 5862. The total amount to be transferred on the project is over Rs 5, 29, 29,000.
Speaking of the programme, she said that it is an ambitious one initiated during the dreaded time of Corona and the beneficiaries are those children who lost their parents to the virus.
