The Congress has alleged that in the last 15-year of Bharatiya Janata Party rule, the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) has become a haven for corruption. Releasing a document on the municipal body at headquarters of the State Congress on Thursday, the Congress State chief spokesperson Garima Dasauni said that the BJP rule has proved to be a failure on all fronts. She said that the BJP has not mentioned the work done by it in the last 15 years.
Dasauni said that the BJP should come with its report card and tell people what it has done for environmental issues, sanitation and town planning. She said that crime is continuing to increase in Dehradun but the BJP is now promising to install CCTV cameras in the city in its Sankalp Patra. Dasauni alleged large scale corruption in garbage collection and its disposal in the MCD. She also accused the BJP of corruption in the Rs 1600 crore Dehradun smart city project.
