MCD files FIR against illegal recovery for door to door garbage collection service in Doon

Dehradun chief municipal health officer Dr Avinash Khanna on Thursday has written to the police to file an FIR against those who have been illegally recovering monthly charges for door to door garbage collection services across the city.

Khanna said that several agencies under the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) provide door to door services in all 100 wards but the health section has received complaints against some people recovering monthly charges and providing fake receipts to locals. They have prepared a fake receipt booklet and have been recovering monthly charges from locals. He said that the amount collected through these charges by the companies are used in waste management of the city too.

Such scamming is causing monetary loss to the public, MCD as well as agencies involved in providing door to door service. The chief municipal health officer has asked the police to take stringent action against such fraudsters soon.
