In order to promote digital transactions for the payments of property tax payments, the mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’ has set up Point of Sale (POS) machines in the office of Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD).
Inaugurating the four POS machines in the tax section on Monday, he said that this initiative will help the people to pay property taxes through credit or debit cards with easy transactions process rather than carrying cash.
The corporation has also started the facility to pay the taxes by scanning QR codes installed in the counters of the tax section to make the cashless transaction easier in the premises, added the mayor.
