MCD to revive old dispensaries soon

The Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) will revive the inactive dispensaries in the city the next year to provide affordable health care services to locals. As stated by mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’ in the board meeting, several Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and institutes have approached the corporation and expressed their wish to operate the dispensaries with their own funds.

‘Gama’ said that most of the dispensaries under MCD are in bad conditions but after some renovations, the corporation can choose from interested parties to operate these dispensaries. This way, the corporation will not have to bear any expenses for the whole year and the locals will get better health facilities. However, he made it clear that only old dispensaries will be renovated and reactivated and no new dispensary will be built in any ward.
