MCD urges locals to complain about irregular door to door service
If the door to door garbage collecting vehicles are not arriving daily in the wards of Dehradun city, the locals can write a complaint letter and submit it in the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD). Many locals complaint that the garbage collecting vehicles in some wards do not arrive regularly due to which some burn the garbage or dump it on roadside areas.
Talking about the issue, the chief municipal health officer Dr Kailash Joshi said that the corporation has directed Ramky Enviro Engineers Limited (REEL) to provide the facility of the door to door garbage collection service daily in 69 wards out of 100 wards. If anybody observes any irregularities regarding the same, they can submit a written complains in the corporation and immediate action will be taken by MCD, stated Joshi. Moreover, the officials also informed that the corporation issues notice to the company besides deducting charges from their monthly payments on the basis of the complaints received against the management of sanitation facilities in any 69 wards. According to them, the corporation is planning to improve the sanitation facilities in the city and if locals find any irregularities in the management of such facilities, they should complain about it in the corporation.
