MCH removes about 70 illegal slums in Rodibelwala Area

The Municipal Corporation of Haridwar (MCH) removed about 70 encroachments in the Rodibelwala area on Monday. The encroachments was removed after authorities conducted a joint inspection of the slum settlement in the area on the orders of Haridwar municipal commissioner
Varun Chaudhary, the assistant municipal commissioner Ravindra Kumar Dayal said. He informed that about 70 encroachments were demolished using machines and the authorities confiscated the belongings found in the area. The operation was monitored by Dayal and also involved officials including chief sanitation inspectors Shrikant, Vikas Chaudhary, Rajendra Ghaghat, sanitation supervisors, the municipal anti-encroachment team, police officers and social workers.
Dayal said that the corporation took this action after receiving complaints about the encroachment. The prompt response of the MCH aimed to clear illegal settlements and address encroachment concerns in the city, with continued efforts to ensure compliance with regulations, he added.
