MCH restricts shopkeepers from selling eggs and meat during Navratri

The Municipal Corporation of Haridwar (MCH) has restricted shopkeepers from selling eggs and meat in view of the Chaitra Navratri which will start on April 9. The municipal health section of Haridwar also issued a notice regarding the restrictions on Saturday. The notice stated that all shop owners that sell eggs and meat must keep their shops closed for nine days from April 9 in view of Navratri. They can resume their business of selling eggs and meat on April 18.
The notice stated that the corporation will take strict action against those who will not comply with the rules during these nine days. Besides this, the sanitation team also visited various meat shops on the weekend and made them aware of the order. They appealed to them to keep their shops closed from April 9 to 17 to avoid any action against them. The officials said that the shopkeepers took this order positively and assured to keep the shops closed during Navratri.
