MDDA approves Rs 998 crore budget

The Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) approved a total budget of Rs 998 crore to carry out development works in Dehradun and Mussoorie. The budget was passed in the 108th board meeting which was held under the chairmanship of Garhwal commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey on Monday.
Besides this, MDDA also decided to hand over its Transport Nagar scheme to the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD). It was decided in the meeting that MDDA officials will conduct a joint inspection of Transport Nagar with MCD officials to ensure that all work is done. If the officials find incomplete work projects in Transport Nagar, the MDDA will complete them before officially handing over the project to MCD, as per the officials.
Besides this, the officials also discussed 60 issues related to maps of commercial establishments like resorts, hotels and farmhouses in the meeting. The commissioner directed officials to dispose of the cases based on merits. It was also decided in the meeting that MDDA will purchase three cars and one mechanical excavator for work purposes. The MDDA vice chairperson Banshidhar Tiwari and other MDDA officials were also present in the meeting.
