MDDA engineers check works underway in city ahead of global investors summit

In preparation for the global investors summit to be held in Dehradun during December, engineers of the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) inspected works underway in various parts of the city on Tuesday. The engineers informed the senior officials about the status of these works.
The MDDA has been given the task of beautification of Dehradun for the global investors summit. Earlier, the MDDA vice chairman Banshidhar Tiwari had issued necessary instructions to the departmental officials. Works proposed to be undertaken by the authority include bringing uniformity in façade and signboards of commercial buildings on selected routes, artworks on plain walls, improvement of footpaths and works related to horticulture. City roads measuring 111 kilometres in length are to be beautified. The MDDA has made Rs 78 crore budgetary provision for this work.
During the inspection of ongoing works in the city on Wednesday, the engineers checked various aspects of the works and issued necessary instructions on site. Tiwari said that the MDDA is committed to the beautification of Dehradun city for the global investors summit.
