The Uttarakhand State Commission for Women (USCW) chairwoman Kusum Kandwal emphasised the importance of ensuring the safety of females. She suggested organising workshops in villages to raise awareness on this issue.
Additional director general of police Amit Sinha stressed the need for immediate action upon receiving information about missing persons, particularly women and children to effectively prevent human trafficking. He also urged the police to utilise the latest technology and make all efforts to locate missing persons.
