Medirtina enters MoU with health dept for cardiology services

The Uttarakhand government has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Meditrina hospitals of Kerala for treatment of heart ailments in the state. The Meditrina would provide its services at the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (Coronation) hospital in Dehradun.
The MoU was signed by the Director General (DG) of state health services Dr Tripti Bahuguna and the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Meditrina hospitals Dr N Prathap Kumar at the state health directorate here on Wednesday.
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Meditrina North Zone, Praveen Tiwari said that the contract has been signed with Uttarakhand Government for a period of seven years. He said that the hospital has a team of specialist cardiologists capable of performing complex heart surgeries with modern technology. “The State government serving and retired state employees, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, BPL, ESIC, ECSH, and CGHS card holders will get free treatment, and general category patients will get treatment at subsidised rates. The treatment and surgery related to heart disease in children would also be done. Currently, Meditrina Group treats heart patients in collaboration with the health department in four states and two locations outside the country.’’
