In latest news from Doon, in a bureaucratic rejig in the Uttarakhand administration, the senior IAS officer Meenakshi Sundaram has been appointed as a principal secretary of the State as per an order issued from by the State administration following clearance from the Governor’s office. The State government, in the promotion move, has given a few months’ relaxation in the service period of the IAS officer who kept holding important and senior positions in the State administration for years. It is worth mentioning that Sundaram is one of the senior IAS officers who is deemed to be close to the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
However, as per the government order, he will not be paid any allowance due to one holding the post of principal secretary and there will be no additional to the salary he was receiving for the post he held before this promotion.
