Mercury to shoot up to 37 degree

In latest news from Doon, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its weather bulletin that the mercury would further rise in Dehradun, taking it to 37 degree Celsius from 35.6 degree Celsius. Moreover, strong wind may blow with the speed of 30 to 40 km per hour in several districts, including Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh. Further, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts may also experience strong winds.
Meanwhile, Dehradun recorded the hottest day of the season on Thursday when the maximum temperature shot up to 35.6 degree Celsius and according to the weather officials, it is most likely to mount up to 37 degree Celsius to be followed by strong wind towards the evening.
