Rural Development and MSME minister Bharat Singh Chowdhary conducted an inspection of Char Dham Yatra arrangements on Sunday. Inspecting the stretch of the Badrinath national highway from Kameda onward, he directed the officials concerned and executing agencies to ensure timely completion of works while focusing on the quality. He told officials to ensure that all the works are completed within the given time frame so that the pilgrims and travelers do not face any inconvenience. The minister checked road improvement works at Kameda, Nandprayag, Pagalnala, Bhanerpani and Tangdi, including the works being done by the NHIDCL at landslide zones. Chowdhary said that work on such sensitive locations should be undertaken on war footing. He directed officials to deploy more machinery and manpower while ensuring quality of the work and its timely completion.
