Minister directs officers of Education Dept to visit schools

The Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat has directed the senior departmental officers to visit the schools in all the districts. In a letter the minister has asked the officers including the secretary to visit the schools and assess them on facilities, availability of teachers, student attendance, cluster schools, PM Shri schools and Atal Utkrisht schools. The officers will also hold meetings with the representatives of parents and teachers in their visits and submit their report to the minister. The officers will hold visits to the schools in the district allotted to them from October 9 to November 10.

Rawat, who also holds the health portfolio, had recently directed the officers to the Health department to visit districts for understanding the ground reality at the micro level.

The minister has directed the secretary Ravinath Raman to inspect schools in Dehradun, additional secretary Yogendra Yadav to visit Tehri and Uttarkashi, Ranjana Rajguru to visit Chamoli and Rudraprayag, Education director general  Banshidhar Tiwari to visit Pauri and additional secretary MM Semwal to visit Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts. Similarly director, education ( secondary) Seema Jaunsari and joint secretary JL Sharma will visit Pithoragarh and Champawat, director of primary education RK Uniyal and joint secretary BS Bora Almora and Bageshwar, SCERT director Vandana Gabriyal and deputy secretary Anil Kumar Pandey  Haridwar district.  The minister said that the officers have been directed to visit schools in an endeavour to ensure that the different schemes are implemented at the ground level.

Rawat visits RMC Dholpur in Rajasthan

DEHRADUN: The Health and Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat visited the Rashtriya Military School (RMC) and government medical college in Dholpur district of Rajasthan on Friday. The minister is on a tour of Rajasthan. In a statement Rawat said that he took information about the educational and military training in the RMS Dholpur from the school administration during his visit. He also held discussions on various issues related to education and National Education Policy (NEP) – 2020. The minister told the school officials that Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to implement the NEP-2020. The state has set up Vidya Sameeksha Kendras for innovation in education and making it employment oriented.
