Minister launches Aanchal’s tetra pack project
Said it will enhance milk & dairy products’ shelf-life

In latest Dehradun news, the Uttarakhand Cooperative Dairy Federation has launched its project of supplying Aanchal milk, lassi and buttermilk in tetra pack in Dehradun. While inaugurating the launching programme, the State milk development minister Saurabh Bahuguna said that the tetra pack project would enhance the shelf-life of the milk and the dairy products which would benefit both the consumers and producers. Speaking about the launch, the director of Uttarakhand Cooperative Dairy Federation and the president of Nainital Milk Union, Mukesh Singh Bora said that the launching has marked the beginning of a new era in the history of Aanchal milk. “This is a step in the direction of doubling the income of the milk producers,” he said, adding that following the launching of tetra pack project, the reach of the Aanchal brand would expand with its easy availability to the consumers in the remote mountainous areas of the State. Moreover, he urged the department concerned to redress the long-pending grievances of the Aanchal dairy employees at the earliest so as to ensure that the zonal activities gain further momentum.
Among those present during the tetra pack launching programme were the Dehradun mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’, the director of the State dairy development department Sanjay Kumar Khetwal and managing director of the State dairy development department Jaideep Arora. Furthermore, two milk vendors from each district of the State were felicitated in recognition of their contribution in enhancing the quality and reach of Aanchal milk on this occasion.
