Minister launches toll free number to address parents’ complaints

 In view of a large number of complaints about fee hike by the private schools and foisting of expensive textbooks, stationery and uniforms by them, the Education department has launched a toll free number 18001804275. The Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat launched the number and formally inaugurated the departmental website schooleducation.uk.gov.in on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion the minister said that the parents can register their complaints on the toll free number from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm. He said that officers of the directorate will evaluate the complaints daily and send them to the district level officers for disposal. The minister said that after disposal of the complaints the district level officers will report the issue to the directorate.

He said that the new website of the department is safe, scalable and accessible as per the standards of the ITDA. The website has been designed in a framework which is safe from cyber-attacks. The website is available in both English and Hindi languages and encompasses everything including regulations of all cadres, rules, transfer policy and RTE manual.
