Minister & officials leave for study tour of Germany

Team to study best practices in waste management & share State’s experiences
The Urban Development minister Prem Chand Agrawal has departed along with a team of departmental officials for Germany for an exchange of information on solid waste management. The minister and the officials have left for the study tour following administrative approval. The tour is aimed at studying the best practices in waste management being followed in Germany.
According to officials, the team from Uttarakhand and their German counterparts will exchange knowledge based on their experience in Uttarakhand and the Ganga river along with waste management in Germany. All the expenses on this study will be borne by GIZ.
The Urban Development minister is accompanied by additional chief secretary Anand Bardhan, Urban Development director Navneet Pandey, additional director Ashok Kumar Pandey, Haridwar municipal commissioner Dayanand Saraswati and the Rishikesh municipal commissioner Rahul Goyal.
