Minister visits under-construction Sainya Dham

The Soldier Welfare minister Ganesh Joshi visited Guniyal Gaon near Dehradun on Tuesday and inspected the construction of the Sainya Dham. He directed the officers and the work executing agency to ensure that the work gets completed within the stipulated time frame.
The minister said that every fifth soldier deputed for defending the country is from Uttarakhand and the brave hearts from the State have always remained at forefront to give highest sacrifice for the country. The minister added that it is the duty of every citizen to remember and cherish the memories of the martyrs. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi always remains concerned for every soldier and the construction of the Sainya Dham is being done as per his vision. He said that the main gate of the Sainnya Dham is being constructed after the name of first Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Late General Bipin Rawat. The minister said that the soil brought from the households of 1734 martyrs and water from 28 rivers of the State has been put in the foundation of the main pillar of Amar Jawan Jyoti. By constructing Sainya Dham the people of Uttarakhand have made its martyrs immortals by ensuring that their memories will always remain in the minds of youngsters, he said.
He expressed confidence that the Sainya Dham would be dedicated to the people in the month of December. Director soldier welfare brigadier (retd) Amrit Lal and other officers of the department were present on the occasion.
