In latest news from Uttarakhand, shots were fired in broad daylight in a congested area of Amabar Taalab under the Gangnahar Kotwali jurisdictional limits in Roorkee. As per reports received, three scooty-borne miscreants came to a market place and opened fire at some shops. A bullet is learnt to have pierced through the roof of a shop. On being informed, police team rushed to the scene and arrested the accused after scanning the CCTV footages. Police informed that one of the miscreants had earlier beaten up a trader and the trader had registered a complaint at the police station. SP Haridwar (rural) said that appropriate actions would be taken against the accused after the investigation is completed.
