The State Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the government Adarsh Prathmik Vidyalaya  based at Kapkot serves as a source of inspiration for basic education while visiting the school on Wednesday. He felicitated the headmaster Khyali Dutt Sharma for the school’s achievements and effective management. He attributed these to the dedicated efforts of the teachers.

During his visit, he gathered information from the school administration about the educational activities taking place at the institution. He noted that the accomplishments of Adarsh Prathmik Vidyalaya Kapkot had helped the institution build a benchmark for itself in terms of excellence in the national educational arena.

He further said that the model implemented in the school would be adopted in all the primary schools across the State to improve teaching methods for the children. “All primary level government schools should emulate this model and achieve excellence,” he said, adding that each school’s performance would be monitored through the Vidya Samiksha Kendra and shortcomings would be addressed promptly.

He exhorted the students to prepare and participate in competitive examinations from the primary level.  “The unique identity that Adarsh Vidyalaya has attained at the national level is principally thanks to its sterling success in the selection of its 22 students for Sainik School. This is an achievement worthy of emulation by one and all,” he added.

During his visit, he interacted with the students, their parents as the local community members.
