Modi accepts Dhami’s invitation for a winter trip in U’khand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded positively to an invitation for a winter trip in Uttarakhand extended by chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The CM met the Prime Minister and discussed aspects of the winter Char Dham Yatra and issues pertaining to the State’s development. Returning from his Delhi visit, Dhami said that he discussed important schemes related to the State’s development and received the PM’s guidance.

The CM formally invited the PM to the National Games in Uttarakhand while also informing him about the preparations for the event and the benefits to the youth from the national-level sports event. Dhami presented the plans for various schemes related to development in the spheres of tourism, employment and infrastructure while also requesting Modi for support from the Centre for these works.

Talking about the importance of the winter Char Dham Yatra, Dhami told Modi about the enthusiasm among devotees for this pilgrimage. He said that a large number of people are undertaking the winter pilgrimage this year, adding that this will boost tourism and the local economy in the State. Modi responded positively to Dhami’s invitation for a winter trip to Uttarakhand.

The CM said that the PM reacted positively to the State’s schemes and winter Yatra while assuring that the Centre will provide all necessary assistance in facilitating the planned development in Uttarakhand. Dhami said that his meeting with Modi will prove helpful in boosting the State’s developmental efforts.

It is pertinent to mention here that Dhami is focusing on boosting the winter Char Dham Yatra iun the State, as the government believes that tourism and pilgrimage are a major factor affecting the State’s economy. The CM had recently visited the trekking route from Dehradun to Mussoorie, directing officials to ensure basic facilities while retaining the natural look of the trek, adding that the State government will develop other treks in the State.
