Concerned over the damage caused by the heavy rains in different parts of Uttarakhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephonic interaction with chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday. The PM sought information about the damage to life and property, status of roads, Char Dham Yatra and Kanwad Yatra from the CM.
The CM gave a detailed account of the damage caused by the rains in different parts of the State and gave the status of the Char Dham and Kanwad Yatras in the State. He said that the administration, Police, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the government are working on an alert mode. The administration has deployed JCBs in many places so that the blocked roads are opened promptly. The CM added that he is monitoring the situation. The PM assured that the Union government will provide every possible support to the State government.
