In latest news from Doon, while canvassing for votes ahead of the April 19 poll in the Vikasnagar assembly constituency areas like Badam Walla, Ambari, Badwala and Kata Pathar, the BJP’s Tehri candidate Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah exhorted the electors to re-elect the Narendra Modi government to speed up empowerment of several demographics like women, youth, farmer and the downtrodden people.
While the opposition parties kept making flamboyant but empty pledges the BJP, on the other hand, believed in fulfilling poll pledges into reality, she said and added that the positive impacts of the welfare schemes rolled out by the Modi government over the past ten years were clearly discernible in the improved status of the collective life in India.
A battery of district BJP leaders accompanied the party candidate during her extensive campaigning in the Vikasnagar segment of Tehri Lok Sabha constituency.
