Modi’s visit to be unprecedented, public rally to be historic: BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party has claimed that the planned visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Kumaon region on October 12 will be unprecedented and his public rally will be historic. The BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt will go to Pithoragarh on Monday to lend final touches to the organisational preparations while chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will reach Pithoragarh on Tuesday to check the administrative preparations for Modi’s visit. The BJP is expecting that Modi’s visit will be beneficial to the State in many ways.
Interacting with media persons at the BJP State office here on Sunday, Bhatt said that PM Modi’s visit to Pithoragarh will be unprecedented and his public rally is set to be historic. Stating that the general public and party workers are enthusiastic about Modi’s visit, he said that the party workers will accord him a traditional and cultural welcome in every place he visits. The locals are also quite eager to listen to the PM at the public gathering, considering which the BJP is confident that the address in Pithoragarh will be historic. Bhatt said, “PM Modi has made a vital contribution to the development of Uttarakhand. Considering his affection for the people of Uttarakhand, it appears as if the State is going to benefit once again from the Central government.”
The BJP State president further informed that he will be reaching Pithoragarh on Monday to check the organisational preparations for the PM’s welcome and his public address. “Our attempt is to depict the State’s cultural, traditional and religious identity while welcoming the PM. The CM will reach Pithoragarh on Tuesday to check the administrative preparations,” added Bhatt.
It is pertinent to mention here that the BJP and locals are expecting that Modi’s visit to the Jageshwar temple in Almora district will elicit focus of devotees and tourists from across the nation and abroad to this destination. The party has also hinted that the PM will not leave the State and its people empty handed during his visit.
