The Bharatiya Janata Party has stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gifted a range of development schemes to Uttarakhand and that his visit on Thursday will establish Adi Kailash on the global tourism map. The BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt said that Modi’s visit to Uttarakhand will boost development in the State. The Rs 4,200 crore projects launched by the PM will further boost infrastructure, education, health, electricity, drinking water facilities while bringing about revolutionary changes in disaster management, horticulture and tourism. “Today Modi is the biggest brand ambassador of our Sanatan and spiritual culture and traditions. People of Uttarakhand believe that his visit will bring lakhs of pilgrims to tourists to the shrines he visited,” said Bhatt.

Meanwhile, the BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that the Congress is unable to digest the multi-crore development schemes the State received during PM Modi’s visit. “Those who snatched the special status from Uttarakhand when they were in power cannot fairly comprehend the importance of development projects. The protest demonstration by Congress during the PM’s Pithoragarh visit is a result of that party’s anti-development mentality. The Congress is unable to digest the benefit the State is receiving. It has already been completely rejected by the public for spreading confusion and rumours about the State government. The PCC president is expecting Modi to visit Sikkim and Manipur on the one hand but is appearing unsatisfied with development schemes launched during the PM’s Uttarakhand visit and seeking more relief. The Congress is demanding from the PM and opposing his visit to the State at the same time,” said Chauhan.
