Monal made popular by National Games mascot ‘Mauli’: CM

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the people of the country got acquainted with the characteristics of the State bird of Uttarakhand Monal by the activeness of the ‘Mauli’ the mascot of 38th National Games.

 The CM appreciated the efforts of Mauli who became hugely popular during the just concluded National Games. Dhami shook hands with the mascot who had arrived at his residence on Saturday. He said that Mauli was given a warm welcome in every district of Uttarakhand during the National Games.

The CM said that the 38th National Games have given Uttarakhand, which is called Devbhoomi and Veerbhoomi, a new identity as the Khel Bhoomi. 

 In the 38th National Games the players of Utatrakhand performed brilliantly. The State won a total of 103 medals, securing a place in the category of top seven states in the country. To recall, Uttarakhand was at 25th position in the 37th National Games held in Goa.
