Moon Child, a collection of poems by Rushali Mukherjee leaves the reader broken and healed at the same time as one goes through the poems turning the pages experiencing the intense emotion of the poet.
The thin book is a spirited collection of verses written from the heart that reaches to the heart.
It is a soulful book in terms that the poet has explored the depths of the experiences of the human emotions we all can relate to. The hand-drawn illustrations are a bonus to the overall reading experience giving one an insight into the young poet’s mind. Simple, measured and heart touching verses leaves a soothing impression upon the reader though few printing errors could have been avoided .The poetries are intentionally kept untitled, giving flow to the structure of the book. Rushali is currently studying in class XII at Welham Girls’ School in Dehradun. A regular writer and illustrator of her school’s literary publications, she has won multiple international awards in creative writing and related fields.
