More heavy rain likely in three districts today

A day after heavy rainfall wreaked destruction in parts of Dehradun, the State meteorological centre has issued a warning regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall in three districts of the State. The State meteorological centre has issued a warning (watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall at isolated places in Bageshwar, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts on Sunday. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in the mountains and at a few places in the plains of Uttarakhand with intense showers also possible at isolated places in the mountainous regions on Sunday.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience partly to generally cloudy skies today. Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, which may be intense shower/heavy rain in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 30 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Saturday were 29.3 degrees Celsius and 21.6 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 34.2 degrees Celsius and 23.5 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 19 degrees Celsius and 14.5 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 21.2 degrees Celsius and 16.4 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
